Hello, hello. My name is Kristen and I'm a Wedding Photographer who has been in the industry for over 10 years.
But while Wedding Photography is my passion and my joy, I've worked full-time in corporate jobs for more than 25 years and business is in my blood and has, over time, become my superpower.
My career spans many roles over that time, from Banking and Finance, teaching Finance and Business Administration through to the Resources Industry and every time I've ended up improving each and every role with systems and processes to make my job easier. I've always joked that I'm inherently lazy, but in reality - it helped me do more and achieve more and feel better about myself.
Once I started photographing Weddings in 2011 (in my spare time), however, I quickly realised I needed a system of my own - because I was drowning in enquiries and editing, and I had zero time for building my social media. Thankfully, all my weddings at that time were referrals and word of mouth - but most of my weekends, afternoons and nights were spent in front of my computer trying to get those Weddings delivered to my beautiful couples.

The Beginning:
In around 2016 I discovered outsourcing editing. It was a revolutionary moment and while I wasn't shooting a huge number of weddings, the precious time with family and friends was returned to me. I quickly revised my price list to include the outsourcing costs and I was thankful for that amazing team, every time I uploaded the wedding files.
Something I remember specifically from that season of my childhood was that NOTHING seemed scary to me. I was so young and so new and so naive to what failure could feel like in business that I just tried any idea that came to mind!! Fast forward a few years and this would eventually serve me REALLY well in my future photography business!
The good news is, we were able to pay out our Mortgage and were quickly snapped up by other Companies in our area - but the tug that I'd been feeling to take control of our own destiny, and more importantly help, people grow their own businesses into wildly successful and profitable machines, got stronger and stronger.
That's when Wedding Biz Academy was born, and I couldn't be happier and more excited.
I finally get to live the life of my dreams - coaching and guiding these amazing Wedding Professionals by providing the almost "done for you" systems and support to create their own dream lives. Because "the more structure you have in your business, the more freedom you have in your life"

Our Purpose
We really love helping photographers create businesses and meaningful lives that leave a lasting impact. Our own stories, successes, and challenges are part of a bigger story that we believe God is writing for us. Photography is our passion, and through it, we can make a positive difference in the world.
Sometimes, our daily work can feel like a lot. We have emails, editing, recording videos, and teaching courses to do every day. But we know these tasks lead to something bigger and more important. They help us connect with people and build relationships. When we care about others and earn their trust, we can make a special impact on their lives.
We truly believe that the experiences we provide to our clients and students are special and meaningful. We feel blessed to do what we love for a living, and we get to meet amazing people along the way. Whether we share our stories online, take care of our clients with genuine care, or teach photography students to follow their passion, we want our work to leave a positive mark on everyone we help!

Spare Time
Even though I spend a lot of time on photography, my real passion lies in decorating! When I have free time, I love to decorate things around the house. My husband and I enjoy hosting, and we want our home to feel cozy and welcoming for everyone. Decorating is like an artistic outlet for me, and it has nothing to do with photography. It's what I do to express my creativity and get inspired. Making things look perfect is not the goal; it's about having fun and trying out new ideas!
